School Health Programs In Kenya
In just two and a half years, One Good Turn’s School Health Program has reached over 90,000 community members through a combination of educator training, community partnerships, and school-based implementation. To date, the program has reached 90 schools, 1630 staff members, and 27,600 students across Kenya.
When schools are trained and equipped, students miss fewer days due to preventable illness. Families feel more confident sending their children to school, and teachers have the knowledge and tools to respond to health needs as they arise.
We support newly trained schools through a School Health Kit, which includes essential supplies and printed copies of our School Health Officer Handbook. This practical educational guide helps SHOs apply their training directly in schools with students. A gift of $300 can help a school in Kenya receive a kit. While every contribution supports the broader School Health Program, this amount shows the kind of impact you can help make happen.
And right now, your gift goes even further. Thanks to a generous partnership with Love Tito’s, all donations are currently matched by 20%- your $50 becomes $60, and your $100 becomes $120. Give today to make an even greater impact.
At the end of the month, we will welcome educators from 20 new schools to our next School Health Officer training. With your help, we can ensure they receive not only the training but also the tools to put it into action. Every gift supports lasting change.
